SUBHASH KINI, MD, FACS, FRCS
Dr. Kini is the Director of the Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Division of Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine. He is also the director of the Bariatric Fellowship at Mount Sinai St. Luke's. Dr. Kini has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1995. His practice is focused primarily on advanced laparoscopic Bariatric surgery, anti reflux surgery and advanced laparosocpic surgery. Dr. Kini is currently performing research in several areas of minimally invasive Bariatric procedures and antireflux surgery.
After completing a laparoscopic research fellowship in Mount Sinai Medical Center and a laparoscopic clinical fellowship in New York Medical College, Dr. Kini joined the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Division of Laparoscopic Surgery at Mount Sinai in 2004.
Dr. Kini is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Kini is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of England, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. He also serves on the Resident Committee of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the Research Committee of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
